This moving mandala of dancers in gowns is my response to a misguided school official's statement that strapless gowns should be banned from an 8th grade dinner/dance because they would "distract the boys".
Little is more beautiful than 40 dancers in colorful strapless gowns on a green canvas....

DISTRACTION by Kinesis Project was commissioned by Adelphi University's Performing Arts Center for the Ephemeral Festival.
The cast is a mixture of the dance majors of Adelphi, non-dancer volunteers and company members of Kinesis Project.
